Thai massage or “Nuad Boran” is an ancient system of healing developed from Indian ayurvedic medicine over 2500 years ago and is performed wearing loose clothing, lying on a comfortable floor mat.
It is based on the concept that a blockage or imbalance in the flow of energy around the body can cause pain or disease. Through a combination of rhythmic massage, acupressure, reflexology and gentle stretching, Thai massage aims to stimulate and balance the flow of energy around the body and thereby encourage self-healing.
The treatment starts at the feet and progresses up to the head. The effect is uniquely relaxing as well as energizing. The body begins to open and regain flexibility and ease of movement, while the mind gently returns to calm alertness.
Thai massage can also help to improve breathing, posture and balance. Over time physical, mental and psychological benefits are achieved by restoring the flow of energy around the body to a state of balance.
The benefits of Thai massage include
• Facilitates relaxation and reduces stress and the symptoms of stress such as headaches, anxiety and insomnia.
• Boosts energy levels and has a positive effect upon mood encouraging a sense of well-being after treatment.
• Improves flexibility and the range of motion of joints.

“I visited Debbie in Southampton about once a week for almost 2 years when I worked down there. I also attended the Yoga classes that she held at Ordnance Survey. Debbie is a lovely lady and I really enjoyed my visits. I had regular Thai massage and reflexology sessions with occasional Hot Stone and Swedish massages as well. If I was still working anywhere near Debbie, I would still be visiting and feeling the benefit of her work.”
