YOGA TEACHER TRAINING
Yoga Alliance Professionals 250hr + Teacher Training Course
WHO IS THE COURSE FOR?
This course is for anyone who wishes to embark upon the rewarding journey of teaching others and who also wishes to significantly deepen their knowledge and understanding of this ancient tradition. The intention of the course is to offer an authentic and rich journey into all that is Yoga. This 250hr+ course differs from other 200hr foundation courses as its emphasis is on teaching as a tool for learning. It acknowledges the need for in depth teaching experience, skills, and advice rather than just helping you to improve your personal asana practice. Each month you will be invited to develop your teaching skills so that you grow in confidence and begin to unravel, understand and evolve your own uniquely personal teaching style.
WHERE IS THE COURSE AND OVER HOW LONG?
The course will begin with a week long immersion at the beautiful Gaunts House in the Dorset coun- tryside. Gaunts House provides a safe sanctuary for us to dive deep into the timeless teachings of Yoga and set a firm and un-shakeable foundation for the rest of the course …
The immersion will be followed by 8 weekends of practice and study at Lloyd Hall near Reigate, Surrey. Our amazing journey together will close where it began with a weekend Graduation Retreat back at Gaunts House.
On completion students gain Yoga Alliance Professionals 250 hour+ hour Yoga Teacher Training ap- proved certification. As part of this course you will have access to an online portal packed full of all the information covered in the immersion and also the weekend meetings. The portal also has audio recordings for all chants, meditation and relaxation practices covered as well as video content of Asana and Puja practices. Lifelong access to this portal is offered to all that have been a part of Deb- bie’s teacher training courses so you can continue to use this information after graduation. Numbers are limited to enable Debbie to offer personal support throughout the course should you need it. The experience will be deep and rich covering all aspects of the eight limbs of Yoga in depth – from anato- my and physiology to the deepest philosophy and meditations …
CHOOSING THE RIGHT COURSE FOR YOU!
What makes a good teacher training course – is a somewhat subjective question! I have put together a small E-book packed full of reflective questions and considera- tions in an effort to make that process a little easier for you! I hope you find these pages help in your decision as to whether you enroll on a Yoga Teacher Training course – for me it was one of the most important and transitional times of my life. I remember loving every minute of it and not wanting it to end – so as well as ques- tions to be considered before you embark on your journey I have included some tips for after it has all finished. Feel free to call if I can help in any way …
The teacher training course has been truly inspirational. In delivering this course Debbie gives her usual blend of passion, wisdom and authenticity, resulting in a mind-blowingly brilliant mix of theory, practice and inner knowing. She leads by example, inspiring us all to bring our very best to the course, yet ensuring that we all work at our own pace and within our own personal framework in a supportive and sharing environment. I would not hesitate to recommend this course to anyone wishing to further their yogic journey, whether or not they intend to teach in the future. Just amazing! – Sally Collins…..
‘I have waited many years to do my yoga teacher training and I am so glad I did because it has meant that I found Debbie. She is a gifted teacher whose passion for all aspects of yoga is infectious. It is obvious that her depth of physical practice and knowledge of yoga comes from many years of disciplined practice and exploration of what it means to her. From this, she is able to help her students on their journey of yoga, helping them find their voice and confidence as yogis. I found Debbie’s approach to be warm, supportive and also challenging in a way that has helped me grow noticeably during the course. I would highly recommend her to other yoga students wanting to take their yoga to the next level.’ – Catherine Jashinski
